Povidone Iodine Solution IP  7.5 % w/v  Has a rapid and prolonged germicidal action against a wide spectrum of pathogenic organisms.  Idopove 7.5% is used as scrub which reduces the number of microorganisms on the hands and forearms prior to surgery or patient care. Idopove 10& solution is used for preparation of skin prior to surgery (patient preoperative skin preparation).

Idopove Liquid contains Povidone iodine. It works by inhibiting the growth of infection-causing microbes. As a small molecule, iodine can easily penetrate microorganisms and oxidizes essential proteins, nucleotides, and fatty acids, leading to cell death. It is effective against bacteria, fungi, viruses, and protozoa. It is an antiseptic and disinfectant useful for sore throat. It also relieves and prevents the infections of the lining of the mouth and throat, such as gingivitis (inflammation of the gums) and mouth ulcers.
